thankful....

My morning started by joining Mom in her prayer time. We sang her favorite song, "how great thou art" and then we prayed for the family. We cried, we hugged, we felt the heaviness of all the trials our family is facing but we are keeping the faith that God is in control and that He will not leave nor forsake us.

After breakfast, I had to prepare myself for my scheduled check-ups. Long day ahead!

First stop was at the UCSF Wayne and Glady's Valley Center for Vision in Illinois Street. Fortunately, my left eye corneal abrasion is almost completely healed but still I was not allowed to wear contact lenses for two (2) more weeks for fear of recurrent corneal erosion.

Next stop is at the cardiologist clinic at Mount Zion. The usual procedures--ECG, 2D Echo---both normal so far. CRP is also normal. Doctor no longer recommended the tilt table test. Thank God! (Doctor was not able to detect that my heart is broken)

Went to the pharmacy and bought my medicines before heading to the Cafe to meet my older sister, Zephy and her husband, Arfrid. She is just a few weeks away from her due date. Thanks for the treat! The salad was really good!

Last stop was at my neurologist's clinic. So far there were no worsening symptoms that would further create a set back on my full recovery. Less headaches, less dizziness, few sleep disturbances (sleeping better when I am with her). I will just have to continue the prescribed medicines and attend the last sessions of my therapy (cognitive, psychotherapy).

On my way home I passed by the flower market and saw some beautiful flowers. Bought something for Mommy. Unfortunately I could not find a vase, so maybe this will suffice.....love you Mommy!
